A few honest house rules.
These are the terms that keep the studio running smoothly for everyone. Please read them before your first appointment — booking a service means you have read and agreed to them.
What you are agreeing to
Tumen Beauty is a private, appointment-only nail studio at 12627 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32223, operated by Tumen Systems. These Terms of Service apply to every appointment booked with the studio and to every visitor of tumenbeauty.com. When you book an appointment, submit a form, or continue to use this website, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If any part of these terms is unclear, write to info@tumenbeauty.com before your appointment.
Show up on time, tell us in advance if you cannot, and we will look after the rest.
The rules below exist so that every client gets a full, unhurried appointment in a small, one-chair studio.
24 hours’ notice, no fee if given in time
If plans change, please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment. Notice given inside the 24-hour window is treated as a late cancellation and may be charged 50% of the booked service. Repeated late cancellations may be asked to prepay before rebooking.
The easiest way to cancel is through the confirmation email you received when you booked, or by emailing info@tumenbeauty.com.
- 24+ hours in advance. No fee, no questions.
- Inside 24 hours. Up to 50% of the booked service.
- Emergency. Genuine emergencies are handled on a case-by-case basis — please let us know.
Please arrive on time
Because appointments are booked back to back, arrival time matters. You have a 10-minute grace period from your scheduled start. If you arrive after that, we will do our best to fit you in, but if it will run into the next appointment, the visit may be canceled and treated as a late cancellation (see Section 02).
No-shows. If you do not arrive and have not been in touch, the appointment is a no-show and is charged 100% of the booked service. A future appointment can only be rebooked once the no-show fee has been paid, and prepayment may be required.
If you are on your way but running late, a quick email or reply to your appointment reminder makes it much easier to hold the slot for you.
One chair, one nail artist, back-to-back appointments.
A late arrival in a private studio means the next client waits. Ten minutes is what the schedule can absorb without shortening someone else’s service.
Book everything you want in advance
If you would like anything beyond the standard structured manicure — hand-painted art, chrome, French, extensions, additional length, gel-X sets and so on — please book it when you make the appointment, or email us before your visit so we can allow the time.
If you ask for an add-on in the chair and there is not enough time before the next client, we will not be able to do it that day. We would rather reschedule the extra work than rush your set or run late on the next appointment.
- The services page lists what can be added and roughly how long each takes.
- Not sure? Email a reference photo — we will quote it and the time it needs before your visit.
Free repair within 3 days — conditions apply
If a nail lifts or breaks within three days of your appointment and the damage is not the result of how the nail was used, the studio will repair it free of charge. Get in touch as soon as possible with a photo so we can book you in.
Repair is not free if the damage is caused by the client — opening cans and packaging with the nail, using nails as tools, biting or picking, exposure to strong solvents (acetone, some cleaning products), impacts, sports, or where aftercare has clearly not been followed (see Section 06). In those cases we are happy to repair the nail at the standard per-nail rate.
The studio does not offer refunds on completed services. Wear time varies with the person, the shape, the product and daily use, and no wear time is guaranteed. If something feels wrong after your appointment, please tell us within three days — that is when it is easiest to fix.
Cuticle oil daily, gloves for chores, and nails are jewels, not tools.
The longer version is on the receipt card you go home with, and by email if you ask for it.
Care for the set after you leave
Wear time and appearance depend on aftercare. You are responsible for following the aftercare instructions given at your appointment, which include applying cuticle oil daily, wearing gloves for cleaning and dishwashing, avoiding harsh chemicals and prolonged soaking, and not using your nails to pry, scrape or open objects.
The studio cannot be responsible for damage caused by activity that is inconsistent with the aftercare instructions, or for changes in nail condition that occur once you leave the studio.
- First 24 hours. No hot water, no gym, no gardening — let the finish fully cure.
- Every day after. Cuticle oil, ideally twice a day.
- Chores. Rubber gloves for cleaning, dishwashing and gardening.
- Tools. Use them for their intended purpose — never your nails.
When we may decline or stop a service
The nail artist may refuse or stop a service at any time if, in professional judgment, performing it would be unsafe. This includes, but is not limited to, visibly infected, injured, or otherwise compromised nails or skin (fungal or bacterial infection, open wounds, contagious skin conditions, recent surgery on the hand, and similar). In those situations we will explain what we are seeing, ask that you see a physician or podiatrist first, and rebook you once the area is cleared.
The studio also reserves the right to refuse or terminate service in the case of abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, intoxicated or otherwise disruptive behavior toward the nail artist or another client. Where a service is refused or stopped for a safety or conduct reason, no refund is offered for the portion completed, and the studio may decline future bookings.
Refusing a service is a duty of care, not a punishment.
Florida licenses nail technicians through the Board of Cosmetology, and infection control is part of that license. See the state’s guidance at myfloridalicense.com.
Guests under 18
A parent or legal guardian must be present at the appointment, or provide signed written consent before the service begins, for any client under the age of 18. The studio does not accept online bookings for children unaccompanied by an adult.
- Present. A parent or guardian in the studio for the appointment, or
- Consent on file. Signed written consent (email is fine) received before the appointment.
Photos of your nails
The studio photographs finished sets for the gallery, social media and portfolio. Photos are of the nails and hands only — never faces, tattoos, or anything that would identify you — and are only taken with your verbal consent at the time. You can say no, at any time, and the photo is not taken.
If a photo of your nails is already in use and you would like it removed, email info@tumenbeauty.com and we will take it down within a reasonable time.
Even in a small studio, silence is not agreement.
The nail artist will ask before taking any photo, and again before posting it.
Payment and disputes
Payment is due at the end of the appointment, unless prepayment has been agreed. We accept the payment methods listed at the booking confirmation. All fees are in US dollars and any applicable Florida state and local sales tax will be added at checkout.
If you disagree with a charge, please email info@tumenbeauty.com within 30 days and we will do our best to resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting the studio — particularly for services that have been completed, for no-show fees, or for late-cancellation fees agreed under these terms — is considered a payment dispute in bad faith. In that case the studio may (a) present a full record of the appointment and these terms to the card issuer, (b) suspend future bookings until the amount is resolved, and (c) require prepayment for any future service.
- Question? Email us first — almost every issue is settled the same day.
- Receipts. Every payment generates a receipt on request; we keep records as long as the IRS and Florida law require.
Photos, logo and content
All content on tumenbeauty.com — including photographs, gallery images, the Tumen Beauty name and logo, written copy, and page design — is owned by Tumen Systems or licensed to it, and is protected by US copyright and trademark law. You are welcome to view the site, share links to it, and repost individual gallery photos to your own social media with a credit tag. You may not use the logo, name, or written copy in your own commercial materials, reproduce large portions of the site, or use any of it to train a machine-learning model, without written permission.
If you believe your work has been used on this website in error, write to info@tumenbeauty.com with the details and we will review promptly.
- Fine. Share a gallery post to your own feed with a credit tag.
- Not fine. Reproduce the logo, name or copy in your own advertising.
- Not fine. Use the site to train a machine-learning model.
A few honest limits
The studio provides cosmetic nail services and is not a substitute for medical advice. If you have a nail or skin condition, please see a physician, podiatrist or dermatologist first — we can happily rebook you afterwards.
The website is provided “as is,” and while we work hard to keep it accurate, we do not warrant that the information on every page is complete or up to date at every moment. Prices, hours and availability shown on the website may change without notice; the confirmation email you receive when you book is the definitive record for that appointment.
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, the total liability of the studio to you, arising out of or connected to any service or use of this website, is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.
- No medical claims. We are cosmetologists, not clinicians.
- No wear-time guarantee. Longevity depends on care and daily use.
- Confirmation email rules. If the website and your confirmation email ever disagree, the confirmation email is correct.
Where and how disputes are resolved
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by email will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida, and you agree that those courts have personal jurisdiction over you for that purpose. Nothing in these terms prevents you from bringing a claim in a small-claims court where the amount in question is within its limit, or from contacting the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation about the studio’s license.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Questions before you book
If anything in these terms is not clear, or you would like a copy on file before your appointment, write to us. If we materially change these terms — a new fee, a new policy, a change to the cancellation window — we will update this page and its effective date, and we will let existing clients know by email.
