Tumen Beauty
Privacy

A short, plain-language privacy policy.

What we collect, why we collect it, who ever sees it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it. Written for humans, not lawyers.

01 — Who we are

The studio behind this website

Tumen Beauty is a private, appointment-only nail studio located at 12627 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32223. It is operated by Tumen Systems. For anything in this policy, or to make a request about your own information, write to info@tumenbeauty.com.

This policy explains how we handle information from two groups of people: clients who book, visit or correspond with the studio, and visitors who browse tumenbeauty.com. It applies to information we collect through this website, through email, through our booking system, and in person at the studio.

At a glance

We do not sell your information.

We use it to book you in, remind you of your appointment, answer your emails, keep our records straight, and improve how the studio and the website work. That is all.

02 — What we collect

The categories of information we hold

01

Contact and appointment details

Your name, email address, phone number, appointment date and time, service requested, and any notes you provide (allergies, references, color preferences). Collected when you email us, book through our online booking system, or sit in the chair.

02

Booking and payment records

A record of appointments kept and canceled, and the amount paid. Card numbers are processed by our payment processor and are never stored by the studio.

03

Email preferences

If you subscribe to studio updates through the website, we record your email address, the fact that you consented, and whether you have unsubscribed.

04

Website usage

Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed, referring site, timestamp) held briefly for security and troubleshooting, plus any cookies or pixels described in Section 05.

03 — Why we use it

The purposes of processing

We use the information above only for the following, and nothing beyond it: to schedule, confirm, remind you of, and follow up on your appointments; to answer your emails and messages; to take payment and keep the tax and accounting records the law requires us to keep; to send studio updates only if you have asked to receive them; to keep the website secure and to see, in aggregate, which pages people read; and to run occasional advertising campaigns as described in Section 05.

  • Book and remind. Confirm your appointment and send a reminder before it.
  • Provide the service. Note allergies, preferences and prior work so the next visit is faster and safer.
  • Take payment and keep records. Process payment and keep receipts as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Send updates you asked for. Studio news, membership openings and appointment reminders, only if you opted in.
  • Improve the studio and the website. Understand which pages and services are useful, and where visitors get stuck.
04 — Who receives it

The service providers that help us run the studio

01

Hosting and email provider

The website, the studio email inbox, and any email you send us are stored with our hosting and email provider so we can run the site and reply to you.

02

Booking and calendar system

Your appointment name, contact details and service selection are held in our online booking and calendar system so we can schedule, confirm and remind you.

03

Payment processor

Card payments are handled directly by our payment processor at the terminal or online checkout. The studio receives a receipt and the last four digits of the card, never the full number.

04

SMS reminder provider

If you have opted in to text reminders (see Section 06), your phone number and appointment reminder text are handled by our SMS provider only for the purpose of sending that reminder.

Beyond the service providers listed above and the advertising and analytics partners named in Section 05, we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party. We may share information if we are legally required to (a valid subpoena, court order, or tax authority request) or if it is necessary to protect the safety of clients or staff.

05 — Cookies, analytics, advertising

What runs quietly in the background

We keep the website deliberately light. The essentials — the pages themselves and the booking embed — set only the cookies required for the site to function. Anything beyond that is listed here, so you know what is on the page you are reading.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the site will still work, but embedded booking, forms and video may not.

  • Essential cookies. Session, security and the platform cookies required to load pages and the booking embed.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram). When we run Meta ads, a Meta Pixel measures which page you arrived on, whether you booked, and passes that back to Meta so we can see how the ad performed and show relevant ads to similar people. You can opt out inside your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, or through the Digital Advertising Alliance.
  • Google Analytics (planned). We plan to add Google Analytics 4 to see, in aggregate, which pages are read. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes a truncated IP address; it is subject to Google’s privacy policy. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on to prevent measurement.
  • No data brokers. We do not use fingerprinting SDKs, session-replay tools, or ad networks other than Meta.
06 — SMS and email

Reminders and updates

The studio may send you two kinds of messages: appointment reminders and confirmations tied to a booking you made, and, separately, studio updates such as new openings, membership news, and the occasional artwork gallery.

For text messages, we send only after you have given prior express written consent — a signed intake form or a checked opt-in box next to your phone number — as required by the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227). Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance. We will not share your phone number with any other business for their marketing.

For email updates, every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@tumenbeauty.com and we will remove you within a few days.

Consent, in short

Yes means yes, and only for what you agreed to.

We treat consent to appointment reminders and consent to marketing updates as two separate choices. Consent to one is not consent to the other, and neither is a condition of receiving service at the studio.

07 — Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, opt-out

You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete your record, or stop sending you marketing messages. Send your request to info@tumenbeauty.com with the words “Privacy request” in the subject line. We aim to respond within 30 days, and we will not charge you for a reasonable request.

We may keep certain records, such as invoices and tax documentation, for as long as Florida law and the Internal Revenue Service require us to keep them, even after you ask for deletion. In those cases we will restrict use of the record to the legal purpose only.

Florida residents: the studio does not meet the size thresholds of the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (§§ 501.701–501.721) — the law applies to controllers with more than $1 billion in global annual revenue — but we honor the same core rights as a matter of policy: know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising. The full statute is at flsenate.gov.

08 — Security and retention

How long we keep it, and how we protect it

Client records are kept for as long as you remain an active client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can recognize you if you return and produce receipts on request. Financial and tax records are retained per Florida and federal law. Website server logs are typically kept for 30 days.

Information is held on password-protected devices and in accounts secured with strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and only the studio owner and authorized staff have access. No system is perfect, and we cannot promise absolute security, but we will notify affected clients promptly if a breach ever affects personal information, as required by Fla. Stat. § 501.171.

  • Children. The studio does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, write to info@tumenbeauty.com and we will delete it.
  • Do Not Track. This website does not respond to Do Not Track browser signals, because there is no industry standard for how to. Use the opt-outs described in Section 05 instead.
  • Third-party links. The website links to a small number of external pages. Once you leave tumenbeauty.com, those companies’ own privacy policies apply.
09 — Changes and contact

Keep this policy honest

If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and post the new effective date at the bottom. For anything you would like to ask or correct, or if you would like a copy of your record, write to us.
